Jose Cuervo Margarita

  • The perfect combination of flavors. A little bit sweet thanks to strawberries with plenty of classic tartness you expect in a margarita.
  • Easy to make for a crowd and always great for a party.
  • A fun and festive drink for Cinco de Mayo, Taco Tuesday, Day of the Dead, or any other celebration.
  • Made with simple, easy ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Frozen limeade: A handy frozen product that’s perfect for giving your margaritas plenty of lime flavor. If you can’t find frozen limeade, you can use limeade juice just add more ice cubes.
  • Jose Cuervo Tequila: A reasonably priced tequila with great flavor.
  • Margarita Mix: I love the Jose Cuervo margarita mix, it brings the traditional margarita flavors to your frozen margarita.
  • Frozen Strawberries: No need to worry about prepping fresh strawberries! Frozen strawberries work perfectly and you can even throw them in straight from the freezer.
  • Sugar: Just a bit more to make the margaritas a little bit sweeter.
  • Ice: As needed to give your margaritas the frozen consistency you desire.

Kitchen Tools

You will need a blender, and some fun margarita glasses, and here are my favorite salt or sugar for the rim of the glass.

Expert Tips For Making The Best Margarita

  • Add some garnishes. Add margarita salt to the glass and for a splashier look place a lime round or wedge on the glass and a small fresh strawberry.
  • Use frozen strawberries. For frozen margaritas, they work best since they require less ice which means no watered-down flavor in this strawberry cocktail!
  • Use quality tequila. We are a fan of Jose Cuervo but you can swap it out for another brand. Just make sure it’s a good tequila.
  • Using margarita salt? Make sure to add it to the glasses before you pour in the margarita. I even like to salt the glasses slightly in advance so the salt has time to set on the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different kind of fruit for frozen margaritas?

Yes, of course! You can use frozen mango, watermelon, raspberries, mixed berries, pineapple, or even a combination of any of these flavors. If you can’t find these fruits frozen in the store, you can buy them fresh and then freeze them yourself before making your margaritas.

Can I make strawberry frozen margaritas for a crowd?

Yes, it’s perfect for parties! Depending on the size of your blender you will need to make them in batches or make them ahead of time and store them in the freezer.

Storing

  • Store. Leftovers in the freezer in an airtight container for up to one month. Thaw on the counter, reblend, and serve!
  • Make ahead. When planning for a party this method is perfect! Make the mixture in advance and store it in the freezer. When ready to serve, remove the frozen mixture from the freezer and thaw it on the counter for five minutes if it’s frozen solid. Add the mixture back to the blender and blend it until smooth!
