  • Stove Top Stuffing. You can choose between chicken or turkey flavored.
  • Butter. Adds tons of flavor and creaminess to the stuffing.
  • Vegetables. Adding cooked onion, celery, and shredded carrots adds more flavor and texture to your stuffing making it taste as good as homemade!
  • Seasoning. All you need is some salt and black pepper to enhance the seasonings provided with the boxed stuffing.
  • Broth. Adding chicken or turkey broth will enhance the meaty flavor while also adding moisture.

How To Make Stove Top Stuffing

  1. Melt. The butter in a large skillet.
  2. Cook. Add the onions, celery, and carrots to the melted butter and saute until the onions become translucent and the carrots are soft. Season them with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine.The Stove Top stuffing mix, cooked vegetables, and chicken or turkey stock. Mix them all together.
  4. Transfer. The stuffing mixture to a prepared baking dish and spread evenly in the dish. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the top is slightly browned.

Ingredients
 

  • 2 boxes Stove Top Stuffing (chicken or turkey), 6 oz. each
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 ribs celery, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded carrots
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups chicken or turkey broth

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat melt the butter. Add the onions, celery and carrots. Sautee for about 5-10 minutes or until the onions become translucent and carrots are soft. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix the Stove Top stuffing mix, vegetables, and chicken or turkey stock until combined.
  • Pour the stuffing mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the top is slightly browned.
  • Let cool for a few minutes and serve.
