Ingredients For Brioche French Toast

Ingredients for brioche french toast.
  • Brioche Bread. Use a loaf of brioche bread for some of the fluffiest and softest french toast you’ve ever had. You can buy it pre-sliced or slice it yourself.
  • Eggs. The best part about French toast is the delicious custard surrounding the bread.
  • Milk. Use a higher percentage of milk, or even half and half, to add to the creamy egg custard.
  • Vanilla extract. I love adding vanilla extract for an added smooth flavor and a touch of vanilla.
  • Cinnamon. No French toast recipe is complete without ground cinnamon. It adds the right amount of flavor to each bite.

Tips for the Best Results

  • Toppings. Prepare and wash blueberries and strawberries to top the french toast. You can also add powdered sugar for taste and looks.
  • Challah Bread. If you don’t have Brioche Bread, use Challah Bread. They are very similar in taste and texture.
  • Meal Prep. If needed, you can make the egg and milk mixture the night before. Make sure to cover it with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator until ready to use the next day. Make sure to give it a quick whisk the next morning just in case the ingredients settle.
  • Griddle. While you can make these on either the stove top or griddle I highly recommend using a griddle. It’s much easier to cook a lot at once and it’s easier to flip the bread.

How To Make The Best Brioche French Toast

Step by step process photos for french toast.
  1. Preheat. Prep the griddle beforehand by preheating it to 375°F. Be sure to spray it with cook-spray so the Brioche French Toast doesn’t stick.
  2. Whisk. Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl until combine.
  3. Dip. Taking one slice of bread at a time, dip both sides in the egg mixture. Place on the heated griddle.
  4. Cook. Cook the coated slices of bread on the griddle until browned and no longer soggy. Flip and brown the other side.
  5. Serve. Top with powdered sugar, fresh berries and/or syrup.
