Easy Meatball Sliders

Tasty King’s Hawaiian Rolls with meatballs in marinara sauce and parmesan cheese. The perfect dinner drizzled with the best buttery sauce.

  • Under 30 Minutes. I love a dinner that comes together in less than 30 minutes. These come together in 15 minutes and are ready to eat.
  • Perfect for a Crowd. This recipe is perfect for a large group or party. People usually eat 3-4 so be sure to double or triple the recipe if you need to feed a crowd.
  • Sheet Pan Dinner. I love that these make a perfect one-pan meal! Place them on a sheet pan or baking dish and bake until the rolls start to turn golden brown on the top.

Ingredients For Hawaiian Rolls Meatball Sliders

Ingredients needed for meatball sliders.
  • Meatballs. We used a bag of frozen meatballs to make this recipe super quick and easy.
  • Spaghetti Sauce. Just one jar of your favorite kind of spaghetti sauce – we love roasted garlic and herb. It goes so well with the meatballs!
  • Dinner Rolls. My absolute favorites are kings Hawaiian as they really bring all the flavors together.
  • Cheese. You’ll need some parmesan as well as sliced provolone or mozzarella for this recipe!
  • Butter. This is used as the base of the topping to spread over the rolls.
  • Seasoning. Italian seasoning adds the perfect touch to the buns.

Tips for the Best Results

  • Dinner Rolls. If you can’t find King’s Hawaiian Rolls, you can also use dinner rolls instead.
  • Baking Sheet. You can either use a sheet pan or a baking pan. I use a baking sheet covered in foil for easy cleanup but you could also use a baking pan. Just make sure to spray the baking pan with non-stick cooking spray so the sliders don’t stick to the bottom.
  • Homemade Meatballs. You can easily use homemade meatballs. Just make sure they hold together well so they don’t fall apart in the oven when you bake the sliders.
  • Spaghetti Sauce. I enjoy an herb-flavored sauce as it adds the perfect flavor against the meatballs. But you can use whatever you’d like! Traditional or even meat-lovers sauce work just fine for this recipe.

Leftovers & Storing

  • Store. This is best eaten day of because the bun can get soggy. But if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
  • Reheat leftovers. These are better the day of but you can reheat them in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Another great way to reheat them is in the oven at 300°F for about 5-7 minutes or until warm. If the tops are starting to burn, cover lightly with foil. You can also reheat them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes or until warm.

  • The best way to keep these warm at a party is to store in a dish lined with foil. The foil will help retain the heat for as long as possible. Another option is to purchase a warming tray to serve them on, but this may be a safety concern if there will be children present.
