How To Scoop The Perfect Cookie

I have been getting a lot of questions lately about how I scoop my cookie dough to make the perfect-sized cookies. So I thought I would show you exactly what I do every time I make cookies and I even made it super easy for you by including a step-by-step guide to scooping the perfect cookie.

STEP 1: I use a 1 Tablespoon cookie scoop but if you don’t have a cookie scoop you can also use a 1 Tablespoon measuring spoon.

STEP 2 & STEP 3: I use my cookie scoop or a measuring spoon, and I scoop 2 cookie dough scoops into my hand which equals 2 Tablespoons of cookie dough for each cookie dough ball.

STEP 4: I roll the dough into a ball.

STEP 5: After that, I slightly press down on the ball to form a mini “hockey puck”.

STEP 6: I then place my cookie dough “hockey puck” onto my prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and bake my cookies as directed in my recipe.

And that’s it….you will have the PERFECT COOKIE!

COOKIE SCOOP: Here is the cookie scoop I use every time I make cookies.

MIXER: I love my KitchenAid Mixer, I use it for everything. Makes baking so much easier!

BAKING SHEET: You will need a large 16×11-inch baking sheet.

SILICONE BAKING MAT OR PARCHMENT PAPER: If you don’t have a silicone baking mat…YOU NEED ONE!
