Air Fryer Asparagus

Seasoned with garlic powder and parmesan cheese, you won't get enough of this tasty and flavorful asparagus recipe. Better yet, it's ready in less than 10 minutes making for a perfect side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus trimmed
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 375 degrees. Spray basket with cooking spray. 
  • Place asparagus in the air fryer and spray with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt and pepper. Top with parmesan cheese.
  • Cook for about 6 to 9 minutes or until asparagus starts to char.

Notes

  • Season To Taste. Everyone has different taste preferences so make sure to adjust the amount of seasoning to your liking.
  • Asparagus Size Matters. If you buy thicker asparagus, you will get tougher asparagus. Skinny asparagus will be stringy. Make sure to get asparagus right in the middle.
  • Great Side Dish. This is a perfect side dish and pairs well with so many main dishes. It will take any meal to the next level.
  • Air Fryers Are All Different. Make sure you adjust the cooking time depending on how your air fryer cooks. Some cook hotter and you'll need to keep an eye on it.
  • Make Close to Serving. This is best if you make it close to when you are serving dinner to preserve that crisp texture.
  • Store. Cooked asparagus in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
  • Reheat. Either in the air fryer or the microwave. The texture will change and it will lose that crispy yet tender texture after reheating but will still taste delicious.
