Bring the chicken or turkey stock to a boil in a large saucepan. Stir in the soup, poultry seasoning, and garlic powder. Reduce the heat to low, and let simmer.
Warm the milk in the microwave and whisk in the cornstarch with a fork until there are no lumps. Return the gravy to a boil, and gradually stir in the milk mixture.
Continue to cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute, or until thickened. Be careful not to let the bottom scorch and serve with your favorite Thanksgiving foods!
Notes
Use Pan Drippings: If you prefer to use the drippings from your turkey you can use the leftover pan drippings. You need five cups total so you can use the pan drippings and supplement with stock.
Stir Frequently: Be careful not to burn the bottom of the pan!
Need to Thicken Your Gravy? If your turkey gravy comes out thinner than you prefer, you can add some extra cornstarch. But add it slowly! If you make it too thick, add some additional milk to thin it back out. (Be careful not to overdo this process as you will lose the flavors when you add too much milk!)
Giblet Gravy: You can stir in cooked giblets into your gravy towards the end of cooking to heat them up.
