Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 250 °F for 5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs to the air fryer basket and cook according to your preference. 12-13 minutes for soft-boiled eggs and 16-17 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
  • Meanwhile, place 2 cups of cold water in a bowl with ice cubes.
  • Remove the eggs from the air fryer basket, and plunge them into the prepared ice bath. Keep the eggs in the ice bath until the ice cubes melt and the eggs feel cool to the touch.
  • Peel eggs and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Storage: Hard-boiled eggs can be refrigerated for up to 7 days whether they’re peeled or unpeeled.
  • For unpeeled hard-boiled eggs: store them in a container.
  • For peeled hard-boiled eggs: store them in a container covered with damp paper towels.
  • Freezing: You can freeze only the cooked egg yolks (not the whites). Remove the cooked yolks, and place them in a freezer safe container or Ziploc freezer bag. They will stay good in the freezer for up to 3 months.
