Notes
Let it chill. Let it chill for about an hour in the fridge. As tempting as it totally is to dig in after just a few minutes of chilling, I implore you to let the Pickle Dip chill for the full 60 minutes! This isn’t just so it’s cold, but also so the pickle flavor really has time to settle.
How to serve. Pickle Dip is always meant to be served with some salty potato chips or crackers! However, it’s also tasty with sliced cucumbers if you want a fresher bite. If you go the cucumber route, I recommend cutting the cucumbers into thick slices so they’re nice and sturdy like a chip.
Dried Dill. While I love the taste that fresh dill brings to this dip, in a pinch dried dill is a great substitute and tastes great.
Make Ahead. Because it needs to chill, this is a great dip to make ahead of time so you don't have to worry about prepping it right before a party or get-together.
Softened Cream Cheese. It's so important to use softened cream cheese. It makes it so much easier to get a smooth dip. If you don't soften the cream cheese it will be a frustrating experience.
Store. Store your pickle dip in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
Freeze. This dip can be frozen for up to 2 months in an airtight container. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
