STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO MAKE THESE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES:
Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup + 2 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
- 1/2 cup Sugar (for rolling dough balls)
- Nutella, for spreading
Instructions
PRE-STEP: Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.
STEP 1: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large sized bowl. Set aside.
STEP 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter and butter until creamy.
STEP 3: Beat in the sugars until well blended. Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla.
STEP 4: Gently add butter mixture to the dry mixture, mixing both together until almost combined. DO NOT OVERMIX! Fold in peanut butter chips.
STEP 5: Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough into balls about 2 Tablespoons each. Roll each dough ball into the sugar and place onto prepared baking sheet. Press each ball with a fork to create a criss-cross pattern.
STEP 6: Bake for 11-14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets for 5-10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
Notes
* Baked cookies and cookie dough balls can be frozen for up to 3 months.

I just made these tonight and they were the best pb cookies I have ever made! I had to make them with unbleached white whole wheat flour, because that is all I had (why, I’m not sure lol), and I used brown sugar to sprinkle on them instead of rolling in white. They were the perfect amount of salty, sweet, and chewy, which led to me having about six of them! Ugh, so good.
