GAME DAY SUGAR COOKIE BARS RECIPE
GAME DAY SUGAR COOKIE BARS
Happy Friday! ????
I wish I could be excited about this upcoming weekend but it’s just another reminder that my Green Bay Packers are not in the playoffs this year. ????
And to make it worse, our rival the Minnesota Vikings are playing in the championship game for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Ugh! ????
Anyways, this weekend I will be cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles…that’s why I frosted these Game Day Sugar Cookie Bars…BLUE! ????
But no matter what team your cheering on this weekend, these Game Day Sugar Cookie Bars are sure to be a BIG WIN at your football party this weekend. ????
HOW TO MAKE GAME DAY SUGAR COOKIE BARS
MY FAVORITE COOKIE MIX: As you know, I love Krusteaz Cookie Mixes..they’re the BEST because they actually taste homemade but without all the work. To make these sugar cookie bars, I used the Butter Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix.
LINE YOUR BAKING PAN: To make it super easy for you to cut these sugar cookie bars into squares, line your 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving enough overhang on the sides and spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.
SUGAR COOKIE FROSTING: As always, I use my ALL-TIME favorite SUGAR COOKIE FROSTING RECIPE! ???? Make sure to leave about 1 cup of white frosting to use to make the jersey numbers. Color the rest of the frosting using food coloring to color the frosting to match your favorite team colors.
EASY WAY TO CUT THE BARS INTO SQUARES: Once the bars have cooled, frost the bars then lift the bars out of the pan, folding down the aluminum foil sides. I also use this pizza cutter to make it SUPER EASY to cut these bars into squares!
DECORATE: After you cut the bars into squares, put the left over white frosting into a small plastic sandwich bag, cut off a SUPER SMALL piece of one corner of the plastic bag and then write your favorite numbers on each bar.
