Chocolate Chip Scones
I decided to take a little break from all the cute Valentine’s Day treats that I have been making lately and share with you one of my favorite chocolate chip scones recipe.
Scones are perfect for on the go, but they also are easy to make the night before and will be fresh for the next morning. Plus, these chocolate chip scones taste like a soft chocolate chip cookie. It’s always a good morning when your breakfast food taste like a dessert!
These scones are tender and filled with warm chocolate chips, drizzled with white chocolate and SPRINKLED with mini chocolate chips for even more morning fun!
So if you like chocolate chip cookies, you have to try these chocolate chip scones. And plus, it’s like getting to eat cookies for breakfast!
- 2 cups Original Bisquick mix
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Additional heavy whipping cream
- Additional sugar
- 4 ounces white chocolate baking bars
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 425F degrees. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Set aside.
Using an electric mixer or stand mixer, mix Bisquick mix, chocolate chips, whipping cream, sugar, the egg and vanilla in medium bowl until soft dough forms.
Shape into 8-inch circle on cookie sheet. Brush circle with additional whipping cream; sprinkle with additional sugar.
Cut into 8 wedges, but do not separate.Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown; carefully separate.
Melt white chocolate baking bars in microwave and drizzle over scones and top with mini chocolate chips. Serve warm.
